When they land on this page, they will find out more about what the membership offers and who it’s for. I have a special offer on right now, and I want people to take advantage of it before it closes. You will see from my current link that I am directing people to a landing page to join my membership. Send them straight to the relevant landing page – whether it’s ‘about me’ or ‘work with me’ or ‘my latest programme’ etc. When they land there, they will have to click again to get to other pages. What do you want people to find out about you?ĭon’t just send people to the home page of your website. One link for information and one for communication. I would use each of the links for different things. Too many links and it could get confusing for your audience. I would suggest that you only use one link in your about section. Around 50% of people are accessing LinkedIn from their phones as opposed to computers at the moment, and the chances are that more than half of those are i-phone users.įor those that aren’t on i-phone, they can copy and paste the link into their browser. Is it worth putting a link in your about section? Yes, I think it is. Please don’t shoot the messenger here! We are really not sure why this is the case but try as you may, you will not be able to allow your audience to click from links in your about section if they’re on a computer or an android phone. This link is clickable – although there are limitations! Links in about sections on LinkedIn are ONLY clickable from an i-phone! You can put a link anywhere in your ‘about’ section. The second link is in your ‘about’ section. The fact that this link is so visible and accessible when people come to your profile makes it highly valuable to you as a LinkedIn user.
